Cyprus Anti-cancer society
IronFX has been supporting and providing charity contributions to a variety of medical research organisations and programs such as the “Cyprus Anti-Cancer Society”. The organization offers a variety of services and support for cancer patients nationwide.
IronFX was the main contributor to the Cycling Tour Fundraising Event organised by the Theotokos Foundation. This sports initiative that took place on the weekend of 5th – 7th of October was aimed at helping the Theotokos Foundation raise the funds, create awareness and gather support for people with mental disabilities.
IronFX Supports the Cyprus Institute of Neurology and Genetics
IronFX continues its ethical and socially active philosophy by once more making a donation to a worthy institution. The Cyprus Institute of Neurology and Genetics (CING) continues to grow since its establishment in 1990 and is accomplishing outstanding work in the fields of neurology, genetics, medical and biomedical sciences as well as other related fields. CING also provides high-end clinical and medical laboratory services for further research in the aforementioned fields. IronFX looks forward to continued cooperation with the CING and remains committed to providing continued support to local institutions through donations, sponsorships and fund raising.
IronFX donates funds to the King Hussein Cancer Foundation (KHCC)
IronFX has recently donated a generous amount to the KHCC in order to help the Foundation fight cancer in Jordan and the Middle East region. The King Hussein Cancer Foundation is a non-governmental, and non-profit independent institution comprised of a group of volunteers chaired by HRH Princess Ghida Talal and directed by HRH Princess Dina Mired. Through their mission to provide comprehensive cancer care to the people of the region, offer access to education aimed at the early prevention of cancer, and undertake various fund raising activities, the KHCC is affiliated with various research centers and hospitals across the world – contributing to the treatment, research and prevention of cancer. IronFX is positively active in its Corporate Social Responsibility programs by donating a portion of our operational profits to ensure responsible corporate attitude as well as following ethical standards, which includes medical research, community support, education, and child welfare. IronFX supports the research project of the University of Nicosia, aiming to combat obesity and improve physical fitness of adolescents in Cyprus.
IronFX continues its ethical and socially active philosophy by donating a generous amount for the implementation of the research project directed by Dr Christoforos Giannaki, faculty member of the Department of Life and Health Sciences - University of Nicosia. The focus of the project is on physical activity and health promotion, taking place at the Agios Antonios Lyceum, located in the city of Limassol, Cyprus. IronFX’s donation was crucial for the acquisition of important equipment, necessary for the execution of the proposed project. Adolescent obesity has increased radically in recent years and it is the proven cause of cardiovascular disease, type 2 diabetes and hypertension in adult life. Therefore, physical education and activity classes at school are very important. Research has shown a great percentage of adolescents have a low fitness level and have an increased risk for the diseases mentioned above. The project will serve as an intervention in order to increase physical activity and the fitness level of adolescents within the school environment. The use of this scientific equipment will increase the quality of the research and its potential outcome both on a local and international level.
